Successful manager of a small team of Designers from our team. This entails Art Directing, prioritizing, (and designing my own) 15-20 high profile titles per season . . . while adhering to a highly organized, fast paced, and deadline-oriented production schedule.

Hire and direct Illustrators, Photographers, and freelancers to collaborate on executing Cover concepts and compositions, while maintaining the project’s budget.

Comprehending and generating Contracts for purchasing the Rights Management of all creative material.

Responsible for casting models, wardrobe styling, organizing, and directing photo-shoots.

Meticulously lay out Cover and Interior Indesign mechanicals for hardcover and paperback novels. And providing quality control for the designers that I oversee.

Prepare Digital PDF files, with built-in multi-page Special Effects, and detailed instructions/memos for the printer.

Execute photoshop files with detailed Color Correction for Pre-press work, while scrutinizing press proofs, or digital blues for approval at various stages of printing.

Supply print and resource materials to marketing, subrights, and sales divisions.

Provide Weekly updates for managed projects to the department head, Managing Editor, and Production Supervisor

Responsible for learning how to update our Indesign Templates for Digital PDF printing, and training 10 members of the Art Department to utilize them effectively. Also responsible for educating and training the junior staff to uphold our company's brand of quality.
